Summer Camps FAQ

Sun Protection

Please apply sunscreen every morning at home and pack some extra (labeled with your camper’s name) so your camper can apply more later in the day. Please also consider having your camper bring a sun hat.

Backpack with Lunch and Water

Please pack lunch (in containers that your camper can easily open), snacks, and a filled reusable water container. Contactless water stations are available.

ARRIVING ON CAMPUS

Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your drop-off or pick-up time.

CAMPER RELEASE

Campers will only be released to individuals on the approved pick-up list, and these individuals must present identification.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP

Designated locations will be assigned for drop-off and pick-up of campers. Parents/guardians of campers for Summer Beehive, Honey Hollow, and Explorers will park and walk campers to and from designated drop-off and pick-up locations. All other camps will meet in Schauff Circle on Monday and then drop off their child at the camp’s more specific location the rest of the week. Participants in these camps will be brought to the main parking lot curb at 3 p.m. each day.

EXTENDED CARE

Before Care: Parents/guardians will park and walk campers to Before Care, which will be located in our Library, lower level (follow campus signs). Campers who are enrolled in Before Care will be escorted by camp staff to their camp’s designated location.

After Care: Campers who are enrolled in After Care will be escorted by camp staff from their camp to After Care. Parents/guardians will pick up their campers from After Care in our Library, lower level (follow campus signs).

ILLNESS

We ask that campers and staff who are feeling ill or experiencing symptoms, such as fever, cough, sore throat, or gastrointestinal issues to stay home until they are symptom-free for 24 hours (or 48 hours for gastrointestinal issues). Further details can be found in the school’s Communicable Disease Manual.

Should a camper become sick while on campus, they will be taken to our Health Hub, located in the lower level of The Barn. The school’s health coordinator will call parents/guardians to arrange pick-up within an hour.

SCHOOL COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Campers or staff who test positive for COVID-19 or are in the same household as someone who tests positive, must follow the school’s COVID-19 protocols. If campers or staff leave a camp due to the onset of COVID-19 symptoms, they can be tested before leaving campus.

MASK WEARING

Campers are welcome to wear masks.
