COVID-19 Protocols

Catlin Gabel’s COVID-19 protocols are designed to support our community’s health and wellness and meet or exceed standards set by the OHA and CDC.

COVID-19 Vaccinations

Catlin Gabel strongly recommends all employees, contract workers, and volunteers who work directly with children, as well as students, be vaccinated against COVID-19 but does not require it. If health authority vaccination recommendations change, the school reserves the right to adjust health and safety policies.

Masks

Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 can return to school after being fever free for at least 24-hours without the use of fever-reducing medications and if other symptoms are improving. Individuals who test positive and those who are in the same household are encouraged to wear a mask for 5 days while around others at school and during school-sponsored activities. This additional measure also aligns with CDC recommendations.

Ventilation

All Catlin Gabel ventilation systems meet or exceed the requirements of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, and the CDC. Our central air units and ductless air conditioners have the highest-rated filters available.

COVID-19 Exposure Management

For the 2023-24, school year, current protocols can be found in our Covid-19 Management Plan. This plan is reviewed by Catlin Gabel's Risk Management Committee, which includes the school's health coordinator and an external medical advisor.
