Nicole Rinetti-Clawson, Director of Advancement
Nicole Rinetti-Clawson has almost twenty years of experience as a development leader, primarily in higher education. Prior to joining Catlin Gabel, she served as the Director of Major Gifts at the University of Portland, and as the Deputy Executive Director of Major Gifts and Senior Director of Development, Major Gifts and Annual Fund Officer at Santa Clara University, University of San Francisco, University of California, Berkeley, and Pitzer College. She earned a B.A. in government at the University of Redlands and an M.A. in nonprofit administration at the University of San Francisco. Originally from California, Nicole has settled in Portland with her husband and two children, and enjoys travelling, running, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
Allie Coutu, Events & Stewardship Coordinator
Originally from Canby, Oregon, Allie earned her BS in Marketing and International Business from the University of Colorado. Before starting at Catlin Gabel in 2018, Allie lived in Hawaii for 2 years working on environmental advocacy and creating change at the legislature. She went on to backpack Europe for 2 months and perpetually cannot wait for her next international trip. In her spare time, Allie enjoys spending time with her family and being a "bonus mama" to her partner's son. When not at work, you might find Allie practicing yoga, relaxing on a beach, hiking, camping, traveling and adventuring anywhere life takes her.

Amanda Cowart, Catlin Gabel Fund Coordinator
Amanda joined Catlin Gabel in 2016, transitioning from the Beehive to the Advancement office in January of 2018. She earned her BA in communication science, M.Ed. in human services, and has experience teaching and working in progressive, independent schools since 2008. Amanda brings her passion for writing and connecting with others to the team. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband and three boys. She enjoys camping, hiking, practicing yoga, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.

Brian Davies, Advancement Services Manager
Brian grew up in Southern California and studied resort management at San Francisco State University. Prior to joining Catlin Gabel in 2014, Brian worked at the OHSU Foundation as a research and prospect management coordinator, and previously had served more than five years as the development administrator for the YMCA of Columbia Willamette. He spends his summers backpacking, rafting, and kayaking, and his winters escaping to the Cascades snow.

Sarah Lopez, Administrative Associate
Originally from Salem, Sarah earned her BFA in Fine Arts from Oregon State University and her MAT in Education at Western Oregon University. Before moving to Portland, Sarah traveled between Washington and Oregon pursuing a career in teaching and continuing to gain experience in the administrative field. In her spare time, Sarah continues to paint and looks forward to exploring creative opportunities in Portland. You might also find Sarah practicing yoga, spending time with family, hiking with her little pug, Leo, or enjoying a beautiful Pacific Northwest rainy day inside reading and snuggling with her cat, Gibby.

Haig MacGregor, Advancement Services Coordinator
Born in Portland and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Haig has a creative writing degree from the University of California and enjoys using his writing, editing, and project-coordination skills regularly to support team projects and processes. Prior to joining Catlin Gabel in 2018, he worked in a variety of publishing roles, most recently for an L.A.-based digital curricula company, where he helped manage, demonstrate, and sell its Learning Management System (LMS) to California-based schools. In his leisure time, Haig enjoys reading (short) fiction, searching out Portland’s best espresso, and hiking in places like Tryon Creek and Bridal Veil Falls.

Nicole Spencer, Annual & Planned Giving, Executive Director
For over a decade, Nicole has led a variety of development and communications initiatives - from capital campaigns to annual giving - focused on the advancement of education, environment, and community. Nicole has a passion for outdoor and international experiential education that leads to creating stronger, thriving communities. Nicole is an adventurer at heart and enjoys hiking, gardening, yoga, backpacking, and travel. She received the international Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential in 2016 and is currently pursuing her M.B.A. at Portland State University.

Lea Trefsgar, Catlin Gabel Fund Associate Director
Lea comes to Catlin Gabel with a decade of experience in fundraising, education and numerous nonprofit organizations. Originally from the east coast, she attended Syracuse University where she earned a degree in painting. With a passion for adventure she moved to the West Coast where she earned an MA in child and family counseling from Lewis and Clark. Lea lives in Portland with her husband and two children and enjoys traveling, painting, rock climbing and skiing with her family.
