Ways to Get Involved
Join the PFA Leadership Team
The PFA is led by an Executive Council, Class Representatives, and Event Coordinators. By serving in one of these roles, you’ll help foster a strong partnership between families and the school. See the current PFA Leadership members.
Volunteer at Schoolwide Events
The PFA leads events like Heritage Day, Spring Fest, and Homecoming in collaboration with teachers and staff. These celebrations are made possible by the dedication of parent and guardian volunteers.
Attend Town Halls and Divisional Coffees
Held throughout the year, these gatherings are an opportunity to hear directly from school leaders, faculty, students, and guest speakers. Stay informed on key topics, ask questions, and share your perspective. Upcoming dates can be found in your divisional newsletter.
Support Enrollment and Advancement Efforts
PFA volunteers play a vital role in partnering with the Enrollment and Advancement teams to welcome new families into the school community. This includes supporting Open House events, enrollment tours, and the Host Family Program. Volunteers also contribute to key community events such as the Gala & Auction and the Fund Run, which help raise critical funds for the Catlin Gabel Fund—an essential source of annual support for the school’s operations and programs.
Serve on a Board Committee
Some board committees include volunteer parents/guardians, students, employees and alumni.
The Catlin Gabel Parent-Faculty Association (PFA) fosters a strong school community through the creativity and generosity of its members. Volunteering has been a great way for me to connect with families across divisions, get to know staff and faculty, and better understand the school community. -Robin A. Janssen, PFA President
