Why does Catlin Gabel charge tuition and also ask for donations?

Full tuition pays for only a portion of the actual cost of providing an exceptional academic program tailored to the needs of each student. The financial model that underpins the school’s operation depends on 3 principal sources of revenue: tuition, endowment income and your generosity to the CG Fund. The CG Fund bridges the gap (about $3,000 per student)—making it possible to offer extraordinary experiences for all. Your annual support is a vital component of that financial equation.
