Corporate Matching Gifts

Your donation can double, or even possibly triple, its impact if your employer offers a matching gift program. Some employers will even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

The process is simple, but must be initiated by you, the donor. Contact your HR department to determine if your company matches gifts. Please note that there is typically a time limit to request a matching gift. Thank you in advance for taking this important extra step on behalf of Catlin Gabel.

Estate and Planned Gifts

Gifts of Stocks, Bonds, and Securities

Many Catlin Gabel donors give appreciated stock as it supports the school while taking advantage of tax benefits. Please consult with your financial adviser or tax professional to discuss these benefits.

For stock where you are initiating the transfer: It is extremely important that you notify our team by emailing us at give@catlin.edu or by calling 503-297-1894 ext 5073. Stock cannot be sold unless we have your name and address confirmed for required for tax deduction and acknowledgement purposes.

For stocks held by your broker or commercial banker: Your broker may electronically transfer ownership of the stock to Catlin Gabel’s account at RBC Wealth Management (see account information below).

Donate a Vehicle

You can donate an unwanted car or truck, no matter what the condition. Our coordinators from Donate for Charity will contact you and arrange the delivery or free pick-up of your vehicle. Catlin Gabel will receive a portion of the sale of your vehicle, you will receive a minimum $500 tax deduction (it may be higher, depending on what the car is sold for), and Catlin Gabel receives the net proceeds to support our students. We appreciate all of our parents, alumni and friends for considering this option to help support Catlin Gabel.
