SCHOOL COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
To learn more about current school COVID-19 protocols, including masks, distancing, eating, and more, please go here. Please note that these protocols are updated as needed in response to Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Oregon Department of Education (ODE) guidelines and requirements, as well the health and well being of the camp community.
Masking
Masking is optional. If our policy changes during the summer you will be notified.
Hand Washing
Camp instructors will ensure campers wash hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer before camp start, as well as before and after lunch or snacks.
Illness
Campers and staff are expected to stay home when ill. Anyone with COVID-like symptoms cannot come to campus and must seek medical attention. Please note, if a camper or a member of their household tests positive for COVID they need to remain off campus for 5 days. We do not issue refunds due to illness.
Should a camper become sick while on campus, they will be taken to see the school’s health coordinator. The school’s health coordinator will call parents/guardians to arrange pick-up within the hour. Further details regarding illness related situations and required action steps can be found in the school’s Summer Camps Health and Wellness Practices Guide.
VACCINATIONS
We encourage all campers to be vaccinated and boosted, based on CDC guidelines, but are not mandating vaccinations for campers to participate. Catlin Gabel camp instructors are required to follow Catlin Gabel vaccination policies.
POSITIVE CASES AND HOUSEHOLDS
Campers and families who test positive for COVID-19 must follow the school’s protocols. No one from the household should come to campus. Contact the school’s health coordinator at healthcoordinator@catlin.edu. If a camper, parent/guardian, or one of their household members is awaiting COVID-19 test results due to illness or exposure, no one in that household should come to campus.
