Summer Camps 2022
Weekly Camps Run From June 27-August 12
Catlin Gabel School invites campers from across the Portland metro area to spend the summer with us! Every week we offer a range of camp activities, including day camps, sports, music, arts, academics, technology, and more.
Our 67-acre wooded campus is conveniently located just off of Highway 26 and is only minutes from downtown. Camps run from June 27-August 12 and are open to any child from preschool (age 4) to high school. We also host an array of partner camps that are run by professional organizations. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Day Camps: Ages 4-12
- Summer Beehive (ages 4-6)
- Honey Hollow Adventure (ages 6-9)
- Explorers (ages 9-12)
Each session includes exploration, outdoor play, and creation on the Catlin Gabel campus. Each week offers a different theme and related activities. Come learn, play, and have fun with us. Extended care is available. These camps, which run for 7 weeks, typically fill up quickly.
Specialty Camps: Ages 6-18
Sports camps include basketball, fencing, and a sports spectacular camp, where campers participate in a variety of sports, games, challenges, and activities. More sports activities are available through partner camps.
Arts & Activities Camps
Campers can choose from camps that focus on photography, drawing, paper marbling, book making, jewelry making, crafting, and DJing. For campers looking to be outdoors, there is a weeklong farm experience on Sauvie Island.
Academic & Tech Camps
Summer is a great time for rising seniors to get started on college essays or for younger campers to explore different writing genres or how math is used in real life. Campers can also build rockets, light sabers, or create art using simple mathematical techniques.
Partner Camps: Ages 4-15
Campers can also sign up for activities hosted on Catlin Gabel’s campus but run by other organizations. This year, we welcome Yoga Playgrounds, Bernie Fagan Soccer, Anthony Newman, Avid for Adventure, and Engineering for Kids.
Extended Care: Ages 4-14
Morning: 7:30-9 a.m.
Afternoon: 3-6 p.m.
Extended care is offered for both Catlin Gabel and partner camps. To ensure adequate staffing, weekly sign-up is required. You may choose, mornings, afternoons, or both. The sign-up is separate from camp sign-up.
