Test Day Instructions

Once on campus, proceed to the main parking lot and then to the upper level of the James F Miller Library for check-in and testing (Building #13 on this campus map).

Please see our admission testing page for information on registration. Walk-ins are not accepted you must pre-register with SSAT.

Check-in will open at 8:30 a.m.

  • If you arrive prior to 8:30 a.m., there is no indoor waiting area.
  • Testing begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends around 12:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. for those testing with an accommodation for extra time).
  • The testing center will close shortly after the test concludes.

Please note

  • Parents/guardians are not allowed in the testing center past the check-in point.
    • There is no indoor waiting area for parents/guardians to wait on campus.
  • Snacks must be in a clear bag.
    • Snacks and water will be set in a designated snack area to be accessed only during breaks.
  • Testers will be asked to roll-up their sleeves and turn-out their pockets at check-in.
  • Restricted items are placed in a separate room and may not be accessed until the end of the test. Many everyday items are restricted and are best left at home.

  • Testers may have only No. 2 pencils and their admission ticket at their testing desk.
