Co-Curricular Opportunities

Upper School students can participate in a number of structured co-curricular programs, as well as student-run activities and clubs. All opportunities are designed to provide collaboration and connection.

Most students take part in campus community engagement opportunities, on and off-campus, these may be organized within the Upper School or occur entirely independent of Catlin Gabel. Students frequently participate in a variety of short-term projects that connect them with a range of organizations in the wide Portland area. They may also join the community-focused InvenTeam and the CommuniCare Club to effect change in school culture and policy, and they take on leadership positions in student government and a variety of clubs and affinity groups. Over 70% of the Upper School students participate in the school’s athletics program.
