Students and Teachers
- Student-teacher ratio of 15:1
- 195 students in grades 6-8
School Day
- 8:30 a.m. - 3:25 p.m.
- Before and after school activities from 7:15-8:30 a.m. and 3:25-6:00 p.m. included in tuition; after school options also include MS sports programs
Curriculum
- Seven core classes: Math, English, Social Studies, Science, Modern Language (French, Mandarin, Spanish), Wellness, Arts (music, drama, studio and media arts, woodshop)
- Each meets 3x a week, except math which meets 4x a week
- Lessons on executive functioning, health and wellness, library research, outdoor education, equity and inclusion, digital citizenship, and more
Learning Spaces
- Warren Middle School: classrooms, library, common area
- Creative Arts Center, Woodshop studio
- Miller Swigert Gym and Murphy Athletic Complex with fields and track
Support and Communication
- Small, mixed-grade groups meet regularly with faculty advisors
- Full-time librarian, counselor, and learning specialist
- Equity and Inclusion staff
- 2 parent-teacher conferences annually
- Written student reports quarterly
- Monthly grade-level curriculum updates
- Weekly newsletters from leadership
Clubs and Activities
- Meet during the school day. Past clubs have included LEGO Engineering, Magic the Gathering, Ceramics, Knitting & Crocheting, Pickleball
- Athletics: soccer, cross country, volleyball, tennis, basketball, track and field
- Global and Outdoor Education Programs
- Annual multi-day trips to areas like the Oregon Coast, Mt. St. Helens, Sandy River
