Beginning & Lower School Library

Florence K. Angell Library is at the heart of the Lower School. As a team of a full-time librarian and a full time library assistant, we pride ourselves on cultivating a love of reading, in-depth exploration opportunities, refinement of research skills, and promoting digital citizenship skills . Annually, our library circulates an average of 20,000 books and materials. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Middle School Library

The Middle School Library is located inside the Warren Middle School. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:20 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The full-time librarian supports faculty in building meaningful inquiry into the curriculum. The Middle School Librarian teaches students how to use information responsibly, so students can show their learning with integrity and critical thinking.

The Middle School Library acts as a community space where students can access books for pleasure reading, games and sports equipment for non-curricular times. Also, it is the hub for middle school’s Oregon Battle of the Books program.

Upper School Library

The James F. Miller Library is located next to the Circle. We’re open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; 8:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday (early close for faculty meeting), and 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. We have a full-time librarian and a part-time associate librarian to help students and faculty with research questions. Our library is filled with windows and light, making it a great place to study.
