  • Lark Palma, Head of School

When: June 15, 2002 at 1:30 p.m.

Where: The site of the new library and languages center (meet at the Paddock by the Barn)

The new 14,000 square foot library will integrate new research and information technologies with enough book capacity to meet the needs of inquisitive students and faculty. In addition, this new complex will include a 70-seat multimedia classroom, complete with teleconferencing capabilities to allow an entire grade-level to meet as a class or participate in lectures given by recognized speakers from all over the world, without leaving the classroom.

The new 4,000 square foot languages facility incorporates the latest technology and is designed to assist students in learning French, Spanish and Japanese. In addition, this new technology will make it possible for students to practice and hone their skills with counterparts around the globe. Both buildings will be wirelessly-enabled and will be completed in early Summer 2003.
