Catlin Gabel Middle School Head Paul Andrichuk Awarded Klingenstein Fellowship

Paul Andrichuk, Catlin Gabelís Middle School Head, has been awarded a Klingenstein Fellowship to study next year at Columbia Teachers College of Columbia University in New York City. The prestigious Joseph Klingenstein Fellows Program is widely recognized and respected for enhancing the professional capabilities of talented independent school educators. Each year, no more than twelve teachers and administrators from around the world are awarded Klingenstein Fellowships.

Mr. Andrichuk has 12 years of experience educating and counseling students at the middle school and high school levels. Mr. Andrichuk joined Catlin Gabel in 1997 as a Middle School teacher, and was Dean of Students of the Middle School for two years prior to his appointment as Middle School Head in 2002. He has a strong background in early adolescent behavior and is a gifted counselor on a wide variety of issues concerning middle school age students. Mr. Andrichuk holds a B.A. in history from Oberlin College, and an M.S. in counseling from Johns Hopkins University.

Mr. Andrichuk will return to Catlin Gabel as Middle School Head at the beginning of the 2005-2006 school year. Len Carr, Catlin Gabel class of 1975, and current Assistant Head of the Middle School, will serve as Interim Middle School Head for the 2004-2005 school year. Mr. Carr has taught at Catlin Gabel since 1989.
