For all grades, from preschool through high school
Catlin Gabel’s Open House will be held Sunday, November 13, from 1 to 5 p.m. on the school’s campus at 8825 SW Barnes Rd., Portland. It’s an opportunity for parents of children of all ages, and students in grade 6 and up, to experience the school’s offerings for Beginning School (preschool and kindergarten), Lower School (grades 1-5), Middle School (grades 6-8), and Upper School (grades 9-12). For more information on the Open House or any aspect of the admission process, please visit www.catlin.edu or call the admission office at 503-297-1894.

The 2011 Open House will help families understand what distinguishes Catlin Gabel from other schools. During the afternoon parents and students will sample the classrooms, talk with teachers and students, meet parents and alumni, and see what the school community is all about. They will be able to engage in mini-classes, and visit the facilities, play areas, labs, theaters, gym, and arts buildings.

Families will hear about the school’s programs from the people who know it best -- faculty, students, parents, and alumni. It’s chance for families to discover how academic excellence, leadership opportunities, and a vibrant community combine to form the Catlin Gabel experience. Most important, it is a chance for parents to ask their own questions and create a dialog with the school. This is the heart of Catlin Gabel’s hands-on approach to education.
