Have fun. Meet other parents. Help the school you love.
The Parent-Faculty Association (PFA) encourages all parents to volunteer for school activities and parent leadership opportunities in the spring. We encourage parents to participate in the PFA and believe parent involvement and leadership impacts the direction of the school and strengthens our community.
Any parent interested is encouraged to email the PFA. This is a great opportunity to get to know fellow parents, faculty members and the Head of the School. The PFA welcomes parents who are new to the school and parents who have not considered leadership involvement before. We hope to have a diverse group of parents to best represent all Catlin families and our inclusive culture. Generally, it is best to start out by volunteering as a grade representative before serving on the executive council. Please email email@example.com and let us know which class you would like to help, or which position on the Executive council you are interested in. Faculty members are also encouraged to nominate parents for PFA positions.
Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to nominate a candidate (including yourself) for any of the following positions:
- Grade representatives (preschool through twelfth)- ideally one new parent and one experienced parent, limit of 2 per grade
- Spring Festival coordinator or co-coordinators
- Beginning School coordinator
- Lower School coordinator
- Middle School coordinator
- Upper School coordinator
- Vice President
- Volunteer/New Family Integration coordinator
- Secretary/Executive assistant
- IT/Website Communications coordinator
A committe composed of the current PFA president, advisor, vice-president, and division coordinators will review the applications and approve the roster of PFA Representatives. The committee will also generate a slate of officers for the executive council, to be voted on at the Annual PFA general meeting in May.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact anyone on the current PFA council, or email email@example.com.
