Beginning School

Learn more about the Beginning School program.

Please note: The application deadline for the 2017-18 school year has passed. Applications for 2018-19 will begin in September 2017.

Application steps:

Parent Tour

An individual tour of the campus including classroom observations, and a conversation with an admission officer. To avoid disruption to our current students, we ask that these tours be attended by adults only.

Available September through early February; schedule a tour through your Ravenna admission account.

Application Forms

The online application includes a series of questions for parents. This is your best opportunity to share information about your family. All applications will be read by the admission committee.

Teacher Evaluation

Send the online evaluation form to your child's current teacher through your Ravenna admission account. Please do not send this request until after November 1, 2016; this will allow the teacher time to get to know your child. It's a good idea to have the teacher's full name and email available when you are ready to send the evaluation.

Student Visit

February 3-4, 2017: Kindergarten

February 10-11, 2017: Preschool

Applicants who have completed the application for admission by the final deadline will be invited to participate in a student visit.

Shortly after the regular fee application deadline, we will email you with the details of your child's visit, including their assigned date and one-hour time slot.

During the visit children will join approximately 10 other applicants and spend time in a classroom doing a variety of activities. It is an opportunity for teachers to observe and interact with each applicant in our environment. We realize this can be a particularly worrying part of the admission process. We work hard to ensure students have fun during their visit.
