Student Resources

Stephen GrantCounseling

The counseling program in the Lower School is dedicated to providing critical social and emotional learning opportunities. Our goal is for children to be self-aware and resilient, and to have empathy for others. We teach children about building healthy relationships and how to resolve conflicts. You will find me working one-on-one with students, in the classroom with whole and small groups, and in consultation with teachers and parents. You will also see me playing alongside students at recess and truly having fun! — Stephen Grant

Learning Center

One of the central philosophies at Catlin Gabel is respect for diversity within our community, which includes learning styles. As the learning specialist, I consult with parents, teachers, and with the students themselves to provide resources, interventions, and strategies to ensure that unique learning needs are met. My goal is to empower students to gain insights into their learning differences and leverage their strengths as they navigate their challenges. All students can learn, and I help students figure out what works best for them. — Kristy Marling
