Feb. 9 IONS Discussion Group: Social Justice and Democracy
Posted 01/25/2017 01:00PM

6-7:30 p.m.

The Barn

The IONS (In Our Neighbor’s Shoes) meeting on Feb. 9 will be focused on social justice and democracy. How do we navigate the current political waters in a school that is a progressive school, while also embracing a diversity of political ideologies? What are our responsibilities as adults for guiding the children?  Please join us for a discussion of what it means to teach citizenship and democracy in these times. People of all political ideologies welcome.

IONS discussions happen on the second Thursday of every month. To suggest a topic contact Jasmine Love, Director of Equity and Outreach. Light snacks will be provided and childcare is available.  Please contact Alison Ward if you will need childcare.
