Rock Climbing is a fun physical and mental challenge.  This course is open to all US students, regardless of experience level.  Students will learn technique and movement and, although the sport encourages individual efforts, students will support and encourage each other in a team environment.

Participants will be required to participate in 50 hours of climbing and climbing-related activities during the 10 week period between December 1 and February 18.  Chris Potts and Mark Lawton will provide transportation, instruction, logistics, and inspiration.

Here's how YOU can get PE credit:

--Attend 2 of the 3 climbing club gatherings at the Portland Rock Gym, 12/12, 1/16, 2/13.  These dates are all Saturdays and the times are 5-8pm.

--Attend the Outdoor Program Lead Climbing at Smith Rocks trip, December 19-20 OR Participate in a weekend climbing competition to which the class will provide transportation and coaching.  Date and time TBA.
