Bundle up your family and join the Middle School Outdoor Program for a fall ride!

We’ll meet at Johnson Creek Park at 9:45am and ride out at 10am.  We'll return to Johnson Creek Park around 3pm.

In true Portland style, we’ll experience stream restoration via bicycle along the Springwater Corridor Trail that runs alongside Johnson Creek. Starting in Sellwood, we'll be joined by Robin, the Restoration Coordinator for Johnson Creek to tour several major projects on this leisurely, all flat, 16-mile bike ride. These will include Tideman-Johnson Park, where log habitat structures were constructed in 2008, the 70-acre East Lents Floodplain Restoration project, and an inspiring riparian forest restoration project at Mill Park in Milwaukie.

Sometime around noon, we'll break at Cartlandia -- a food cart mecca for Springwater Trail bikers! Here we’ll enjoy new foods and new friends before continuing our bike tour back to Johnson Creek Park.

This trip is open to Middle Schoolers and their Families. You'll need to bring your own bikes, helmets, water, raingear, and cash for lunch.  If you need a bike you can rent one nearby at Sellwood Cycles

Read the trip Prospectus attached below and contact Renee to sign up!  This trip is sure to fill so let me know sooner rather than later.
