June 15-16: Upper School Attempt to Climb Mount Hood

Once again Catlin Gabel will make an attempt to climb the state's highest peak: Mount Hood, 11,245' Students who are in excellent physical condition are eligible to sign up for the trip. Two training hikes will prepare the group for the climb. On Monday we will travel to Timberline Lodge and go through a basic snow school designed to prepare students for the rigors of the mountain. That night we will stay in the Huckleberry Inn in Government Camp. On Tuesday we will rise early and make our attempt on the summit.

The trip is open to current Catlin Gabel Upper Schoolers. The cost of the trip including two conditioning day hikes, overnight lodging in Government Camp and meals is $90.
