Cross Country Skiing at Trillium Lake for Middle School Students
Join us for a glorious day of skiing the gentle slopes around Trillium Lake, near Mt. Hood. Students will ride the school bus up to Government Camp where we will rent skis, boots and poles. The cost of the rentals is included in the trip cost. Students will ski through the old growth forests and along the roads around the Lake for the balance of the morning and early afternoon. We will break for sack lunches, brought from home, along the way.
It will be a great opportunity for students to experience the joy of being with their friends in the outdoors during the winter months. No previous cross country skiing experience is necessary, though participants should be comfortable with spending a day in the snow in potentially cold weather. The leader of the trip will be Len Carr.
The cost of the trip is $30, which includes skis, boots and poles.
The trip is open to Middle School students.
