Portland rain means Mt Hood Snow! Let’s celebrate winter with a trip up to Mt Hood to play in the snow!
We’ll leave Catlin at 10am on Saturday and drive up to Government Camp where we’ll strap on our snowshoes and hike to where we’ll build our snow shelters! Caves! Igloos! Fortresses! We’ll put the finishing touches on our snow homes and snowshoe back to town where we’ll warm up and enjoy dinner and games before we head over to Skibowl for some black light night time cosmic tubing! After racing down the slopes we’ll crunch back to our bunks at the Huckleberry Inn for cocoa and bed.
Sunday will find us snowshoeing back out to see how our shelters fared, enjoying a hot picnic in the snow and catching a little sledding before we head back to Portland.
This trip is open to all Middle Schoolers. Price: $95 Financial Aid is available, please ask.
Please contact Renee with questions or if you'd like to sign up. After you contact me you can read, print, and sign the forms attached below and return them to my Middle School Box by 11/9. Space is limited, so act fast!
