Why Wait in Lift Lines?
Come grab some fresh tracks with the first ever Catlin Outdoor Program backcountry ski trip. Interested skiers and snowboarders will load their gear and head up to Mt. Hood where we hop into a snow cat at Timberline lodge. After reaching the top of the Palmer Glacier - higher than any lift on the mountain could take us - we will hike up a bit higher in order to maximize our turns. After skiing for thousands of vertical feet, we will head to a cabin for the night.
This trip is open to Upper Schoolers that are proficient skiers or snowboarders. This trip will be condition-dependant. Interested students should email David Zonana (zonanad@catlin.edu).
