Leprechaun Lunch on Wednesday.
Dear Parents,
Leprechauns
Due to the high interest in leprechauns, we have decided to have a leprechaun lunch on Wednesday. All the children are welcome to wear something green to school that day. Dancy Jubb will visit on Monday and Tuesday to help the children make rainbow necklaces. Then on Wednesday, she will help the children make hot dog wraps for lunch. We’ll round out the menu with yellow carrot coins (gold), green edamame (leprechaun shoes), and rainbow fruit skewers. An enormous THANK YOU to Dancy who created and supplied the menu! It should be great fun! We might even have a visit from some rascally leprechauns …

The Eagles are Coming!
Following spring vacation we will begin thinking about eagles. To help us begin this class inquiry, we find it helpful to ask the children and their families for their own memories and/or experiences with eagles. You will be receiving an email today with a HOMEWORK attachment. Please share an eagle memory or experience with your kindergartner. If you have never had a direct experience involving eagles, you can share something that you know about eagles. Use books or the Internet to help. You may include pictures, drawings, or artifacts. Once you have filled out the Eagle Memory form, please return it to school after "spring break" for your child to share with the class. We will use this information as a starting point for discussion and an opportunity to observe where particular interests lie with the children. We also want to create an “eagle” collection! This may include items from home such as quarters, flags, fabric, stamps, stuffed animals, information from the Internet, etc. Thank you for your help and support of our eagle exploration. We’re excited to begin this project!
Extra Clothes for Emergencies
With the wet and muddy weather, we have depleted much of the children’s extra clothes supply. PLEASE check with your teacher to see that your child’s bag is full. You may be surprised to see that many of the clothes are now too small for your Eagle!
Happy Spring Vacation
We wish you all a happy SPRING VACATION and we’ll see you on Monday, March 29th. Please let us know if you will be leaving before Friday.

Bus Alert!
Catlin Gabel’s AM and PM route bus service will not run during Experiential Days, Breakaway or Winterim, Tuesday, March 16 through Friday, March 19.
Parent - Faculty Association Accepting Nominations
The Parent-Faculty Association (PFA) is accepting nominations from March 1st until April 15th, for the 2010-11 school year. Anyone interested may apply. The PFA welcomes parents who are new to the school and parents who have not considered leadership involvement before. Generally, it is best to start out by volunteering as a grade representative before serving on the executive council. Nominating yourself is encouraged.
