Alex was 3rd out of 67 in the Division 1A Men's Saber and 3rd out of 262 in the Junior Men's Saber (U19) events in Columbus, Ohio.
His national ranking in the Junior Men's Saber (U19) category moved from 34th to 22nd in the country. He is currently in the top 10 of U19 high school fencers.
Alex was also named to the first team of the 2014 USA Fencing All-Academic Team.

The boys ski team has qualified for the state 2014 alpine championships on March 6 and 7. Senior Jeremy Wood, juniors Zac Torng and Max Armstrong, and freshman Liam Wynne will compete in the slalom and giant slalom events. Sophomore Nina Miller also qualified as an individual to compete in the girls slalom race on March 7.

Swimming for 6A Sunset High School, Tristan Furnary won the 100 yard relay and came in 2nd place in the 100 yard backstroke. His 200 yard medley relay team and 400 yard freestyle medley relay team also won state championships. The Sunset boys won their fourth straight state title.
Students who participate in a sport not offered at Catlin Gabel can compete for their neighborhood school.

We are so proud of ice dancing partners Chloe and Logan. They nailed an impressive 6th place finish in the junior level at the U.S. National Championships in Boston. They have been recognized as Olympic hopefuls for 2022, and maybe even 2018 at the rate they're going!
Medals were awarded at the senior, junior, novice, intermediate, and juvenile levels. The results will be part of the U.S. selection criteria for the 2014 Winter Olympics, 2014 World Championships, 2014 World Junior Championships, and 2014 Four Continents Championships.
