The dates are from August 22 to September 9, 2006. Students will miss their class trips that occur during the first week of school.
Participants
14 juniors and seniors (2006-2007 school year) and 3 chaperones (Yoko E. Iwasaki, US Japanese Language Teacher, Gail Durham, US French Language Teacher, and Milledge Bennett, History and Art Teacher)
Itinerary

Travel to Tokyo, Kyoto, Himeji and Hiroshima for 9 days, and then a 10-day home stay with a Gifu Kita High School student. At the school, CG students will observe some classes and participate in the big Cultural and Sports Day events, “Kitakou-sai 北校祭” which will occur on campus for three days.

Purpose of trip
This trip is designed to give students a unique cultural and language experience. It is neither a vacation nor a shopping tour.
