Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Gambol?

The Gambol is our school's annual auction that raises important dollars for our teachers and students. The name of our auction, Gambol, is a noun that means frolic. Each year there is a specific theme for the Gambol.

What does it raise money for?

The Gambol raises money for our teachers' professional development fund. The proceeds from the Gambol provide our teachers with the resources to further their educations and bring their expanding knowledge into the classroom for our students. During the live auction event there is a special appeal for financial aid. This appeal raises money for our school's financial aid program. In the 2011-12 school year more than one-quarter of our students receive financial assistance.

Who organizes the Gambol?

The Gambol auction is managed by the development office. Volunteers serve on the Gambol planning committee and are managed by a volunteer chair. If you are interested in joining the Gambol team, please email our Auction Coordinator at weltk@catlin.edu.

What is the timeline for donations, advertising and partnerships?

The deadline for Item donations, advertising, and partnerships for our 2013 auction is January 31.
