The #73 bus stops  in front of the Kennedy School. Bus #72 stops at the corner of NE Killingsworth and NE 33rd, which is about half a block away.

During the day, we’ll check in with you about the ongoing “Agents of Change” projects underway in your English classes, and we’ll devote a significant amount of time to the college counseling process. We have arranged for guest speakers to join us in the afternoon. The day concludes with dinner and a movie (title of movie not yet known) at the Kennedy School. Lunch, dinner, and snacks provided. Bring laptops and power cords.

The # 9, 17, 19, 20, 54, and 56 busses all have stops within a few blocks of the Mercy Corps headquarters. The MAX Blue and Red lines stop at Skidmore Fountain, which is a few blocks away. The MAX Green and Yellow lines stop at NW 5th and Couch, which is also close by.

On this morning, we’ll meet at the Mercy Corps headquarters in downtown Portland and participate in a range of activities they have planned for us. This part of the retreat will focus on social action and global awareness, in keeping with the topics we discussed at our class meetings earlier this year.
