About Derrick Gay
Derrick Gay is a veteran independent school teacher and consultant who delivered a lively and thought-provoking keynote address for the Upper School Diversity Conference last month. His presentation and work with students inspired the PFA to invite him back to Catin Gabel so parents could benefit from his wisdom and message.
Families are invited to enjoy an optional “family recipes” potluck dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Cabell Center foyer. RSVP for the dinner to Mary Yacob, email@example.com, by Monday, April 23, at noon. We will provide plates and cutlery. We encourage you to bring food representing your family traditions, however you define them. Please label serving dishes and utensils with your name, and label dishes that are vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, or contain nuts.
Child care available for Catlin Gabel Beginning and Lower School students
Those desiring childcare, RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, April 23, at noon. Include the names and grades of children and your preferred contact email. Children should arrive already fed, or the parent or guardian should bring dinner for them.
On behalf of the Upper School diversity club and the PFA, we hope to see you at this unique event.
Parents interested in meeting Derrick in a smaller venue are invited to join him for coffee on Friday, April 27, from 8 to 9 a.m. in Jubitz.
