Beloved music teacher Nell Givler died on January 4 at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was 97. Mrs. Givler taught music at both the Gabel and Catlin-Hillside Schools, and later at Catlin Gabel until her retirement in 1978. She directed Gilbert and Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore in 1947 at Catlin Hillside launching a tradition that continues to this day.
