About the Band

The award-winning Maru-a-Pula Marimba Band from Botswana is touring the Pacific Northwest to raise funds for AIDS orphan scholarships. The ten-piece marimba band comes from the Maru-a-Pula School in Gaborone, with which Catlin Gabel has a developing sister school relationship. Senior MK Otlhogile is the third student from Maru-a-Pula to spend an exchange year at Catlin Gabel. Come support MK's home school musicians!
