In this rotation students develop an understanding of the Elements of Design. These include: line, value, color, symmetry and texture. Students begin with a series of assignments that are created to illustrate design concepts and utilize the appropriate techniques to realize light source, shading and color. These leaf paintings are the collmination of the unit. They represent the great color matching and shape making skills they have developed in this rotation.
