Course description

Students in the 6th grade Mandarin Chinese class will develop their fundamental skill in Chinese phonetic system and characters, and ability to communicate about themselves and their immediate environment using simple sentences containing basic language structures. The ability to communicate is evidenced in three modes—interpersonal, interpretative and presentational—with emphasis on the oral communicative proficiency. Students explore and study the themes of personal and family life, school life, social life, and community life.
