Gifts of the Gods
If you could ask the Gods for a gift what would you ask for? Would you want what they had to give?
During the winter, our 7th grade students study the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Rome, India and China. This group of actors chose folk tales from each civilization and adapted them to create their own original theatrical scripts.
The students gathered their stories together to create a magical, richly mysterious and mystically colorful production called, THE GIFTS OF THE GODS. This play included the stories: “Yeh Shen and her Spirit Fish” (a Chinese Cinderella story), “A Bloodthirsty Tale from Egypt”, “Parvati and the Magic Bowl” and “The Deadly Fate of Antonius”.
