Welcome to 1st Grade Mandarin Chinese Class 一年级中文欢迎你！
All the first graders got their Chinese names from me by finding a close sound to their English name so it's easier for the children to remember. As a matter of fact, some were so excited about having their Chinese names that they asked if they could write them in Chinese characters. I am just so joyful for having such a great mix of first graders.
We'll cover basic greetings according to time, numbers from 1-20, days of a week, 12 Chinese zodiac (animals), opposite descriptors for size, length, height, fitness, family members, body parts, colors, fruits & clothing, four seasons & weather conditions, natures, and 3 major traditional holidays.
