Each one of us says death is something to be afraid of
For me it’s something that you have to wait for
Like a train
Life is only the first stop

When you’re close to death
You’ll see it
His eyes
Gone
Her cloak misty and black
Its scythe ready to swing
Until finally
Death

The train to the next stop
Your death lives on in somebody’s soul
Cradling you like a baby
Passing one life from another
The cycle starts again

Death isn’t what kills us
It only interrupts us

We live on in some one else
Death has been defeated
And seeps into the shadows once more
Not to be seen until         tomorrow
