The Ballad of Bobby Joe
by Jacob Bendicksen
May 4, 2010

Yes, I live under a bridge and stink
But hearts don’t smell. What do you think?
Even though my coat isn’t made of miiiiiiiiiiink…

It’s what in your heart that matters
Every chance you get, they’re like baseball batters
I don’t get served dinner on china platters
And all of my clothes are in ta-ta-tatters!

So please help me, help me a lot
Just give me a penny or two (or a hug), whatever you got
And even though I’m not living on a yaaaaaaacht…

It’s what in your heart that matters
Every chance you get, they’re like baseball batters
I don’t get served dinner on china platters
And all of my clothes are in ta-ta-tatters!

So you could feel bad for me, maybe you can
In the summer, I really need a good-quality fan
And in the winter, I could use a pan
To warm my haaaaaaaaands!

It’s what in your heart that matters
Every chance you get, they’re like baseball batters
I don’t get served dinner on china platters
And all of my clothes are in ta-ta-tatters!
