In Remembrance

They say she’s home
That her journey has ended
But she has changed
Drastically
She doesn’t laugh
Or tell jokes
Like she used to
No
Now she sits around
Moping
In remembrance
Of the things
She has done
Some say she saved us
I say she destroyed herself
Saving us
I try to talk to her
But she turns away
She has built a barrier
Surrounding herself
Forbidding anyone to enter
Like she’s not even here
People say she’s home
That the time of sorrow is over
I say she’s gone
That when she came back
She didn’t come home
