wake up each
morning
just to survive?

Do you listen to the government
as they blow up another house
and another
and they apologize like they’re throwing away
a piece of garbage?

Forget
relax
live life
ignore the constant sting in your side

Look through the mist
seek the shining sun
but see the inferno        before it

When you’re lying there
on your deathbed
will you want
a second chance?
