Well this past week has been a real good time.  I did a lot of the same basic sort of work which entails prepping cameras ( mainly DVX's) and logging and capturing footage on FinalCut. I getting more confortable and I have recently begun to man the desk and help out customers. we get alot of interesting characters coming into the editing lab. Theres one man in particular that is a vietnam vet that looks strikingly like the actor tim blake nelson, but with long grey hair and a stubble beard,  He comes in everyday with his partner who is a tall but stalky gentlemen with brown hair presumably in his thirties. Throughout the week I had more stimulating conversations with my fellow workers. The one that I probably spend the most time with is a staff member Jesse Malmed, who I mentioned in my last post. He is a video artist involved in many projects around the city. Next tuesday ill be going to a show he's organizing called "The Internet is a Terrible Place To Live"

On monday the equiptment room was not very busy so I was given some free time to learn the basics of finalcut pro. I got to look through and edit some of the archives. Many of which are industrial films and commercials from the 50s and 60s. I think  for my next post I might want to upload some of them to youtube for all to see, since they are very amusing.  On tuesday we had a pizza party in the equiptment room since it was raining heavily and none of us wanted to go out for lunch. Since I am in new york for the rest of the week I will not be back again till monday. But when monday comes round expect another post. Cheers
