Answering some of Veronica's Questions and What I'm Doing this Weekend
First off, going back to my last blog post, I need to clarify some points Veronica brought up. When I said good vs. bad data, I didn't mean data that supported my hypothesis and data that didn't, I meant that the data didn't make sense. I can bring it into class tomorrow and point out what I mean and give examples of good data vs. bad data, but I have a couple examples of data which I don't know if they're unusable or not. Usable data looks very nice when plotted, all lines rise and peak at similar times and those minute differences make the difference whether the data supports my hypothesis or not. The bad data peaked wildly and multiple times, leading me to believe I either performed the experiment erroneously or the primer I used had a flaw in it. Secondly, I do believe I would like to present on that paper, as it is a core piece in my experiment as well.
Moving on to what I've been doing this weekend. I'm going to edit my proposal as much as possible and at least start the process of cleaning that up. I have found all of the forms I need, or at least I believe I have, and I am working on filling those out and getting the necessary signatures to turn them into the SRC. I still have not had time to look over my data, and it seems like right now the data itself is taking a backseat to getting all the paperwork filled out for the moment. I'm looking forward to actually getting back into the project and out of all this form work!
