Day 8

Today was a little slower, because my mentor, Nathan Hamilton, was spending the day today visiting a client in California. Pixar! So Nathan said I could leave at lunch!

But I still did a few things around the office. First I went down to the workshop and cleaned up all the brushes and stain samples from a couple days ago. Pete showed me where to put all the exess paint thinner and where to rinse things. I found myself rinsing $1.25 brushes. Every dollar counts.

 Day 7

Lets see...

Today I was tasked with staining more samples so we could make a final decision on  stain colors. Nathan and I took a large wood board outside and set it up on some stilts. Then I proceded to paint the board with every stain color represented.

Hey everyone, this weeks was kind of cut short by MUN. However I still had time to practice my Japanese. It is especially important in class too, because we are learning casual forms that I think will be more commonly used when we go to Japan. Model United Nations was pretty fun, and I corrected the Japanese delegate a couple times.

Hey everyone, it has been a really long week. I went toヂスニランド but I remembered to practice my japanese phrases. I also visited lots of colleges. My family drove to California so that was a bit tiring. Also I forgot that I took this video a while ago!

Week two was winterim. The whole week was interesting and fun. We really got our dance down and we learned loads about Japanese culture. Sorrry this is kind of short, I'm on vacation. Long story short I suppose, lots of fun and lots of learning.

This week we are still preparing for the trip. We decided last weak that we need to step it up as a group and get to work on our film. I have been looking into getting soccer footage for the film, but I have yet to get any. For the past month I have been practicing with chop sticks daily. I feel I have greatly improved since my first day. I also went to a Japanese restaurant to try some food. It was all delicious; I even had shrimp which I usually despise. That's all for now.
