While I was in the box office today, Kim asked me to run down to the Zupans at the end of the block to buy the cheapest flat of bottled water that they had in stock. I jobbed down there and combed the store, but the only water I could find was 18 bottles for $5.00, and that was on sale. Well, I stood there for a moment, glaring at the large stacked display; $5.00? I had only been given $10.00 for the task, and I couldn't work out just how much the deposit would cost me as well. Either way, it was just too much money to be spending on water...Fancy, fancy water. How was it so expensive? Was it blessed by the Pope. There was absolutely no way that I'd spend that kind of money just for water so I strengthened my resolve and flat out sprinted over to the Freddys on Hawthorne where I was sure that I'd be able to find a cheaper flat.
I strode purposefully through the aisles at Freddy until I found the water section. Well, that's a lie, the store is so big that I ended up getting a little lost in housewares and somehow made it to the opposite end of the store where I needed to go. I smirked gleefully when I found a flat of 36 bottles for just $2.79 (Take that Zupans!). Shouldering the flat, I raced back to Profile as fast as I could carrying so much weight. Luckily I made it back before the house opened so there was plenty of time.
