 Here's my paper/story thing!

Oh, sweet victory.

Just met with my mentor, and I got the go-ahead for all of my articles! He said they were funny and that they made a good package. Yay! So tomorrow I have no idea what I'll do since I'm all done with my articles and I can't really go down to the school because I don't have a reason to be there anymore. Sad. I don't know, maybe I'll finish my paper...

Otherwise, the one questionable article in my package turned out nicely as well, Christian said that I didn't paint my interviewee too much like a hero, but that I also gave him some dignity, so yay?

"I was on my porch drowning a rat in a bucket of water, when a van pulled into my driveway.... which was weird."

woman 1: oh my god look at Christian's (my mentor's) desk

Woman 2: [laughs] I bet there's a nest in there!

So good. I kept it anonymous just for them, lol.

During a moment of distraction...

...I post a blog entry!

And I don't have much to say.

My last few days have been yawn-worthy. I just sit and type, type and sit, and sit and think and type.

How fun.

Ever since the drama of Tuesday, I've just been working on my drafts. Yesterday I wrote one rough draft, and today I have already written two, and I am almost done with a third one.

Go me!

In which I leave *before* I get kicked off campus... skills!

Today, was the day. You know, the one where you learn a valuable lesson from your senior project? Yeah, well today was my day to learn that oh so valuable lesson, and boy, did I learn it! But first, here's an inspirational quote:

" Oh, yeah, they're gonna talk to you, and talk to you, and talk to you about individual freedom. But they see a free individual, it's gonna scare 'em."

Meeting with the police wasn't part of the job description...

Well, today's the day that I meet with the officer at the school and try to gather some information about gangs, and hopefully fact check some things. I had a very interesting interview on Friday that lasted for an hour and a half, and I can't really talk about it just yet, but it will make a very good article.

Had an interview yesterday with a kid from FGHS, he's in 4H and FFA and his family owns "a dairy" (isn't it a dairy farm? not just a dairy?)

When I walked up his friend said "Dude, you have an interview? Unfair!"

It was an ok interview, he seemed like he didn't know what to say. I've decided against filming, because I realize that I don't want people putting on a front for a camera, so I am just going to stick with my ever so faithful iPod recorder, and go from there.

Most classes were better than this.

Mrs. Eaton has red hair, a green blazer, and glasses, which she takes off and sets on the overhead as she mimes emotions with her reluctant class. Midway through "tristesso" she stops.
