Day 11

Once again, a little late but never the less I'll write about it.

Day numero 10

So I skipped a few days. Mostly due to time concerns, but I will try to keep you all caught up.

Day 6

Today was more routine. I'm starting to get how it all works and falling well into my position.  We were lucky enough to start at 9:30am today.  I got to the new location, got breakfast, helped out at base camp for a little, and headed to set.  I started out by helping move tables and chairs.  When the child actors come for the day we set up a table and chairs for their "school".  Basically they have a private teacher that teaches them when they arn't acting in the scene, which allows them to do their acting and attend school.

Day Numero 5

This blog is going pretty well, and my goal is to blog on every single day if at all possible.  I want to keep my audience informed and in the loop!

Day 4!

As always I'm busy busy busy! I got to come in at 6:30am today, half an hour later yay! I might be coming in at 7:00am tomorrow but we'll see, that would however mena a little more sleep.

Day 3

Ah the early mornings... Today I woke up at 5:00am to start work at 6:00am.  Our set was located at 27th and Brazee, the scene was one of the main character's house.  I started off the day getting there early, earlier actually than any of the PA's! Apparently it was there turn to be a little late.  Either way the morning starts a bit slow, so as the rest of the crew gathered their things I got breakfast from catering (more free food, yay!) which consisted of french toast and eggs.

Day one on the set!

Today was our first day of senior projects! I was lucky enough to get a gig in which I work on the production set of a made-for-tv movie that's being produced (I believe for NBC...) titled "In My Shoes".  While I don't know much about the actual plot of the film I have definitely got my first taste of a production set!

Senior Project - Film!

It has been a long process finding my senior project, but I am just steps away! I've been talking to and working with Matthew Karzensky, a private contractor in the film industry that I met when he was working on Gus Van Sant's last movie which just happened to be shooting across the street from my house.  He found an in Portland project being filmed at the same time as my senior project, which was really just luck of the draw since movies are sudden and unpredictable (which is why it's taken so long to get going).
