Monday night's match against the #2 Valiants was a true barn-burner, with sets handed back and forth throughout the evening, finally arriving at a 3-2 victory for the Eagles (25-23, 19-25, 14-25, 25-18, 15-13).  Quite possibly the most intense match of the season yet, the Eagles put down 14 Aces and 46 Kills against a strong defensive squad, but conceivably more impressive was the 9 Blocks and 99 Digs earned on the night against the immense Valiant attack.  In the end there were no stand-out players as the entire team stepped up their game to show a true cohesiveness on the court.

The Eagles finish regular season as #3 in the Lewis & Clark Conference and #9 in the state.  They will be fighting for their slot to the OSAA state championships on Saturday, October 30th, when they host the #8 OES Aardvarks at 2:00 p.m.  Mark your calendars and reserve your bleacher space, as this is sure to be another scorcher.
