The 2012-13 event raised $65,000.
Tuition on the Track represents the very essence of Catlin Gabel's mission: inspired learning leading to responsible action. What began as a single student's idea became a successful student-led fundraiser for financial aid.
The walkathon originated as Kate Rubinstein '12's "agents of change" paper for junior English class in 2011. The agents of change assignment is itself a tradition in which students identify something to improve at Catlin Gabel, propose the change in writing, and submit the idea to the appropriate person or people.
Now, students and teachers from across the school come together annually for an enchanting afternoon of walking, skipping, sprinting, talking, and hanging out.
